Bratton Youth Club has been running successfully for many years, offering the children of Bratton and surrounding villages from school years 7 – 11, a safe meeting place and opportunity to try something adventurous and stretching. As well as regular chill-out session in the Jubilee Hall we have run lots of activities such as Archery, Bowling, Canoeing, Climbing, Night Hikes, Sailing and Woodland Days.

We are run and organised entirely by volunteers and rely on those adult helpers to provide this great club for our local children.

We have struggled over the last few months to provide the usual activities due to a lack of adult helpers and several events have had to be cancelled and our membership has dwindled.

To promote the club we are organising a couple of events in May which the Wiltshire Outdoor Learning Team are running for us. These are open to all current club members and we would also like to invite new and prospective children of secondary school age, to join us who might be interested in joining the club.

We have two evening events in May on Friday 5th and Friday 19th. They are being finalised with the provider but one will be a Canoeing evening including some games and a little tuition if you have not tried it before. The other event will be an evening in the woods and include ‘Battlezone Archery’. For these events there is small charge of £5 per child to take part. BYC members are free. Spaces are limited and you would need to organise your own transport to Brokerswood Country Park. (We can assist with organising some car sharing).

If you are interested in the taking part or could help by volunteering some time or effort to help organise the club please contact
